Design: For as long as I can remember, I have inhabited the crevices between disciplines, with the aim of linking fields. If a design project requires a mixed bag of expertise, or has other unusual requirements, my enthusiasm only increases. Clean, informed, and efficient design tailored to any commission, from the odd to the practical.

Fabrication: This studio has worked materials too numerous to list here. Suffice it to say, if a slab table involves integral LED lighting; or a bronze wall treatment requires stingray detailing; or composites are needed to reinforce a mass where allowance is not available for another form of support; the idiom is “can do.” Also, offering short production in certified exotic woods at costs well below those associated with domestic production.

Process Consultation: As is oft the case with one-of-a-kind proposals in design or prototyping, limited reference points of method are available or they have been forgotten. By working in an advisory capacity at the outset, issues concerning structural integrity, costs, etc., can be mitigated. Options are best posited when your design is still on the drawing board. The objective, simply put, is to get it right the first time.

Wood Sourcing: When the budget for a discerning project allows, we can find the most spectacular and largest examples of domestic or certified exotic woods available. We have maintained contacts with dealers across the contiguous 48 States and parts of Canada and South America. Hardwoods can still be obtained that are over 50 inches in width and over fourteen feet in length. It is a personal pleasure both to find and work with these extraordinary renderings of nature.

Museum Stands: Great objects require an understated means of display. We are routinely in possession of items for the duration required to design a befitting stand or base. This is a labour of love, and we treat each object with caring attention until it is beautifully cradled and returned to the collector or gallery.
